I took in a 15 year old dog who tested positive for heartworm. Not only that, it had just hatched a brood of microfilla. The vet said we could do dangerous, expensive treatments, or just use a preventative and hope for the best. New old dog, I didn't want to spend a lot. I still prefer this than generics. Its quality is already proven. No heartworms on my dogs ever. Very eefective! And my dogs love the chews. It seems like it really has a great taste!! 5 stars for this item!

We live near woods and there are many mosquitoes around us. I badly need heartworm protection for my two dogs. I only trust the original heartgard plus. So far my dogs never had any heartworm despite of our living area. I'm happy with heartgard plus.
