The Preventic tick collar uses a slow release technology that allows the active ingredient Amitraz to be slowly released from the collar over 2 months at a consistent rate every day. Amitraz migrates on the skin and hair coat of the dog. The ingredient is slowly released from the moment the collar is fitted to the dog and diffuses over the dog within 24 hours. Preventic collars remain effective for 2 months.
