Revolution for Cats & Dogs
Revolution is a safe and simple way to protect your pet from a range of common parasites. It prevents heartworm disease while treating and controlling fleas (including flea eggs and larvae) and ear mites in both cats and dogs, hookworms and roundworms in cats and sarcoptes mites in dogs. This effective medication is applied to the skin of your pet once a month.
How Revolution for Cats & Dogs works
After applying, Revolution is quickly absorbed into your pet’s bloodstream, skin, and hair, killing fleas, heartworm, and other parasites that can harm your pet. Revolution will then protect your pet for an entire month. As Revolution moves into your pet’s skin and hair, it goes straight to killing fleas, flea larvae, flea eggs, and other external parasites.

What is the proper administration of Revolution for Cats & Dogs?
Revolution Flea Control is a once-a-month topical application for dogs and cats. Application is quick and easy and the product should only be applied to a dry animal. The product is waterproof, therefore, normal bathing, swimming, etc. can continue after two hours.
The correct tube size should be selected for each animal and individual tubes should not be shared between several animals. The cap on the tube should be pushed downwards onto the tube until a "click" is heard and then the cap should be removed. The hair at the base of the neck should be parted to skin level and the entire contents of the tube squeezed onto this area. Do not rub in the liquid.
The concentration of the active ingredient in the Revolution for Dog and Revolution for Cat products is different so the correct package should be used for the correct breed as noted on the package label.
The doses and pack sizes are as follows:
Revolution for Cats
Puppies and kittens up to 2.5kg - pink pack
Cats up to 7.5kg - blue pack
Revolution for Dogs
Puppies and kittens up to 2.5kg - pink pack
Very small dogs 2.6-5kg - purple pack
Small dogs 5-10kg - brown pack
Medium dogs 10-20kg - red pack
Large dogs 20-40kg - teal pack
For dogs larger than 40kg - use the appropriate combination of sizes.
What are the precautions when using Revolution for Cats & Dogs?
Prior to the administration of Revolution, dogs should be tested for existing heartworm infections. At the discretion of the veterinarian, infected dogs should be treated to remove adult heartworms. Revolution is not effective against adult D. immitis and, while the number of circulating microfilariae may decrease following treatment, Revolution is not effective for microfilariae clearance.
Hypersensitivity reactions have not been observed in dogs with patent heartworm infections administered three times the recommended dose of Revolution. Higher doses were not tested.

Rave about Revolution
I like this product because my Jack Russell terrier likes this product and it keeps her protected from fleas in Charleston, SC. It also protects her from heartworms. I have used this product for my dog for years and the service and pricing from Joe's Pet Meds has always been great.
Raving about Revolution
We love Revolution - it has worked great for our cats - no more fleas! It works so much better than other brands we have tried. We are Raving about Revolution!!
Revolution- blue pack
We have a large yard with a wooded border, so we have a huge tick problem. Revolution works great. Our three indoor/outdoor cats are protected- however it does occasionally allow the cats to act as carriers and bring a tick in on them and drop it inside. Monthly revolution for three cats gets pricey. Can't get prices any better than Joe's. Buying it from Joe's allows me to keep them on the Revolution and not having to substitute a lesser product.
Problem with Joe's
In-stock...available for immediate shipment may mean 4 weeks and NO response after your first inquiry. No trouble in previous orders but last one was not so good...a little more customer friendly service would be greatly appreciated. We have used Revolution for our cats for years. Never a skin irritation, protects our cats and our home from fleas.
Revolution
I wouldn't be with out the Revolution for my dog. I give it all year round no matter the winter months. the fleas what ever could be hiding in your carpet or furniture. the year round . Just don't go or be with out it.
Stronghold/Revolution
I have a dachshund that is almost 13 years old. For years no matter what kind of flea product I used my dog, Roxy, her hind end was RAW from scratching and all the other products were not working to kill the fleas on my other pets. I bought Revolution from Joe's Pet Meds as a last resort AND the very next day I used it on her I could tell it was working. She is completely healed and doesn't scratch her flesh off anymore. This stuff was a MIRACLE! I have five dogs and two cats and I buy the large dog package and measure it out with a children's syringe used for medication. It works year after year and doesn't stop working like other flea products I've used. Use this stuff! It's fantastic!!!
Revolution Rocks
I've used Revolution for quite a while, and I love it! I am ordering from Joe's for the first time, so I can't comment on that yet. I would just like to point out to those that are ordering the Large dog dosage, then seperating into smaller doses, that the amounts specified for the weight on the smaller pets packages are for the maximum weight listed. So if you have an animal that weighs in at the lower end that is listed, you are giving more than is necessary. The actual mimimum amount needed is 2.7 mg per pound, or 6 mg per kilogram. This could help stretch those doses out a little further.
Great product / Great provider
I've used Revolution for many years, for various dogs and cats in the family. It's simple to adjust dosing for animal size, and convenient for timing and administration. In addition, Joe's has always given me the best price and best service. Thanks!
Excellent and improving
We have been using Revolution from Joe's for many years with great success, but it's been costing us a bundle even at joe's good proces, as we have a large kitty family (9 at the moment). I'm so pleased and grateful for the kindness of other reviewers who shared the secrets of reconfiguring the larger dog doses for cats, and only wish I had thought to read the reviews sooner. Not only does this technique save money, but it helps with proper application since a dropper is much easier to control than the stiff plastic individual dose packages. Thanks a bunch!!!
